Warranty Policy

Warranty Policy

**Last Updated: August 14, 2026**

At **Fuzhou NPBS Bearings Co., Ltd. (“NPBS® Bearings,” “NPBS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”)**, product quality and manufacturing consistency are fundamental to our business.

This Warranty Policy explains the warranty coverage applicable to NPBS® Bearings products, the circumstances in which warranty coverage may apply, exclusions from warranty coverage, and the procedure for submitting and evaluating a product warranty claim.

This Warranty Policy is primarily intended for distributors, OEM customers, brand owners, industrial buyers, and other business customers purchasing NPBS® Bearings products.

Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, this Warranty Policy applies to products manufactured or supplied by NPBS® Bearings.

1. Limited Product Warranty

Unless otherwise specified in an applicable quotation, sales confirmation, purchase agreement, technical agreement, or other written contract, NPBS® Bearings warrants that products supplied by us will:

* Be manufactured in accordance with the applicable confirmed specifications;
* Be free from material defects in materials and workmanship at the time of delivery; and
* Conform, within applicable manufacturing tolerances, to the specifications expressly agreed between NPBS® Bearings and the customer.

This warranty applies only to defects attributable to materials, manufacturing, or workmanship for which NPBS® Bearings is responsible.

It does not constitute a guarantee of unlimited bearing service life or suitability for every application.

2. Warranty Period

Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, the standard NPBS® Bearings warranty period is:

**Twelve (12) months from the date of delivery.**

A different warranty period may apply where expressly stated in:

* Sales confirmation;
* Pro forma invoice;
* Purchase contract;
* OEM agreement;
* Technical agreement;
* Customer-specific warranty agreement; or
* Other written agreement accepted by NPBS® Bearings.

Where a specific written commercial agreement establishes a different warranty period, that agreement will prevail.

The warranty period does not automatically restart or extend because a product has been inspected, analyzed, repaired, or replaced unless NPBS® Bearings expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

3. What This Warranty Covers

Subject to the terms of this Warranty Policy, warranty coverage may apply where technical investigation reasonably determines that a product failed to conform to the confirmed specification due to circumstances attributable to NPBS® Bearings.

Examples may include verified defects involving:

### Normal Wear

Normal deterioration resulting from ordinary service is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Bearings are mechanical components subject to fatigue, friction, lubricant degradation, contamination, and other operational influences. Actual service life will vary depending on application conditions.

5. Bearing Service Life

Bearing service life is influenced by numerous interacting factors and cannot ordinarily be guaranteed solely by a general warranty.

Factors affecting actual bearing life include:

* Applied load;
* Operating speed;
* Lubrication;
* Contamination;
* Temperature;
* Alignment;
* Mounting;
* Shaft and housing accuracy;
* Internal clearance;
* Material;
* Maintenance;
* Operating cycles;
* Vibration;
* Shock loads; and
* Environmental conditions.

Published or calculated bearing life values, including basic rating life calculations, are engineering estimates based on defined assumptions and operating conditions.

Actual bearing life may differ significantly from calculated values.

Unless expressly guaranteed in a customer-specific written agreement, NPBS® Bearings does not warrant a specific number of operating hours, cycles, revolutions, or years of service.

6. Customer Responsibility for Application Validation

The customer is responsible for determining whether a bearing is suitable for its intended application.

NPBS® Bearings may provide product recommendations, technical guidance, bearing-selection assistance, calculations, drawings, or engineering information based on operating information provided by the customer.

Such assistance is intended to support the customer’s engineering process.

Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, it does not replace:

* Customer engineering analysis;
* Machine design verification;
* Prototype testing;
* Application testing;
* Product validation;
* Safety analysis; or
* Qualification testing.

Customers should disclose all material application conditions when requesting technical recommendations.

Failure to disclose relevant operating conditions may affect warranty eligibility where those conditions contributed to product failure.

7. OEM and Custom Bearings

NPBS® Bearings manufactures OEM and customized bearings according to customer requirements, drawings, samples, specifications, and approved technical documentation.

For custom products, warranty evaluation will primarily consider conformity with the mutually confirmed:

* Technical drawing;
* Product specification;
* Material specification;
* Dimensional requirements;
* Tolerances;
* Precision requirements;
* Clearance requirements;
* Lubrication requirements;
* Sealing configuration;
* Sample approval;
* Inspection standard; and
* Other agreed technical requirements.

Where an OEM product is manufactured according to a customer-provided design or specification, NPBS® Bearings warrants manufacturing conformity but does not, unless expressly agreed otherwise, warrant the underlying suitability of the customer’s design for its intended application.

The customer remains responsible for validating custom products under actual operating conditions before full production use.

8. Samples and Prototype Products

Samples, prototypes, pre-production units, first articles, or engineering samples may be provided for evaluation before mass production.

Such products are intended to allow customers to verify matters including:

* Dimensions;
* Fit;
* Installation;
* Functional performance;
* Noise;
* Vibration;
* Operating temperature;
* Lubrication;
* Application compatibility; and
* Other product characteristics.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, prototypes and evaluation samples should not be considered automatically approved for unrestricted production use.

Customer approval of samples or drawings may establish the approved standard for subsequent production where expressly identified in the applicable technical documentation.

9. Storage Requirements

Bearings should be stored appropriately before installation.

Recommended storage conditions generally include:

* Clean and dry indoor storage;
* Protection from moisture and condensation;
* Protection from dust and contaminants;
* Protection from corrosive chemicals;
* Stable environmental conditions;
* Appropriate original or protective packaging; and
* Protection from impact or mechanical damage.

Where prolonged storage is anticipated, customers should consider the condition of rust-preventive coatings, grease, seals, packaging, and environmental exposure.

Damage resulting from unsuitable storage conditions is not considered a manufacturing defect.

10. Warranty Claim Procedure

If a customer believes that an NPBS® Bearings product may have a manufacturing or material defect, the customer should contact NPBS® Bearings promptly after discovering the issue.

A warranty claim should include as much of the following information as reasonably available:

* Cleaning the bearing;
* Removing grease;
* Grinding or polishing surfaces;
* Altering raceways;
* Removing evidence of contamination;
* Repairing the product; or
* Otherwise modifying the product before technical analysis.

These actions can remove important evidence required for root-cause investigation.

Where a bearing has already been disassembled, the customer should preserve all components, lubricant, seals, rings, cages, and rolling elements where reasonably possible.

12. Return Authorization

Products should not be returned to NPBS® Bearings without prior authorization.

Where physical examination is required, NPBS® Bearings will provide appropriate return instructions.

Customers may be asked to return:

* Representative failed bearings;
* Unused products from the same batch;
* Packaging;
* Labels;
* Related components; or
* Other materials reasonably necessary for technical investigation.

The return of a product does not itself constitute acceptance of a warranty claim.

Returned products will be subject to technical evaluation.

13. Technical Investigation and Failure Analysis

Warranty claims involving bearing performance may require a detailed engineering and quality investigation.

NPBS® Bearings may examine factors including:

* Visual appearance;
* Raceway condition;
* Rolling element condition;
* Cage condition;
* Seal condition;
* Lubricant condition;
* Wear patterns;
* Surface damage;
* Corrosion;
* Fatigue characteristics;

* Related application conditions.

The objective is to distinguish manufacturing defects from application-related, installation-related, lubrication-related, environmental, handling, storage, or normal service-life conditions.

14. Warranty Remedies

If NPBS® Bearings confirms that a product contains a defect covered by this Warranty Policy, we may, at our discretion and subject to the applicable commercial agreement:

* Replace the affected product;
* Repair the product where technically appropriate;
* Provide replacement products with equivalent specifications;
* Issue a credit for the affected product;
* Refund the applicable purchase price of the affected product; or
* Agree another commercially reasonable remedy with the customer.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, warranty remedies apply only to the confirmed defective products.

Replacement or reimbursement does not automatically extend to an entire shipment, production lot, machine, assembly, or system unless technical investigation reasonably establishes that broader action is necessary.

15. Costs Associated With Warranty Claims

Where NPBS® Bearings confirms a covered manufacturing defect, reasonable costs directly associated with the agreed warranty remedy may be handled according to the applicable commercial agreement.

* Other indirect or consequential losses.

Any additional cost responsibility must be agreed in writing based on the circumstances of the specific claim.

16. Unauthorized Returns and Third-Party Repairs

Products returned without authorization may be refused or returned to the customer.

Warranty coverage may also be affected where a product has been repaired, altered, modified, reworked, or disassembled by a third party before NPBS® Bearings has had a reasonable opportunity to inspect the claimed condition.

This does not prevent actions reasonably necessary to protect personnel, machinery, or property from immediate safety risks.

17. Counterfeit or Non-NPBS Products

This Warranty Policy applies only to genuine products manufactured or supplied by NPBS® Bearings and supported by appropriate transaction or traceability information.

NPBS® Bearings assumes no warranty responsibility for:

* Counterfeit products;
* Products falsely represented as NPBS® products;
* Products obtained through unauthorized or untraceable sources where authenticity cannot reasonably be established; or
* Products altered or relabeled by third parties in a manner that prevents reasonable product identification.

Customers should purchase NPBS® Bearings products directly from us or through authorized commercial channels where applicable.

18. Third-Party Products

Where NPBS® Bearings supplies products manufactured by a third party rather than by NPBS® Bearings, any applicable manufacturer’s warranty may govern those products.

Where appropriate, we will reasonably assist customers in communicating a legitimate warranty claim to the relevant manufacturer or supplier.

19. No Guarantee of Application Performance

Unless expressly stated in a written customer-specific agreement, product specifications, engineering calculations, technical recommendations, test results, samples, or application discussions do not constitute a guarantee that a bearing will achieve a particular performance level in every operating environment.

Machine systems contain numerous variables outside the control of the bearing manufacturer.

Customers are therefore responsible for conducting appropriate testing and validation before production use.

20. Limitation of Warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the express warranty stated in this Warranty Policy is limited to the conditions and remedies described herein unless a different warranty is expressly agreed in writing.

NPBS® Bearings does not provide warranties beyond those expressly stated in the applicable sales agreement, quotation, technical agreement, or this Warranty Policy.

Nothing in this Warranty Policy excludes or limits any liability or right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

21. Relationship With Commercial Agreements

This Warranty Policy provides the standard warranty framework for NPBS® Bearings products.

However, individual customers, applications, industries, and OEM programs may require different warranty arrangements.

If there is a conflict between this Warranty Policy and an applicable:

* Signed sales contract;
* OEM agreement;
* Supply agreement;
* Quality agreement;
* Technical agreement;
* Accepted quotation;
* Sales confirmation; or
* Other written agreement expressly accepted by NPBS® Bearings,

the specific written agreement will prevail with respect to that transaction.

22. Safety-Critical and Special Applications

Certain applications may require specialized engineering review, qualification, testing, certification, or product controls.

Examples may include:

* Aerospace applications;
* Railway safety systems;
* Medical equipment;
* Nuclear equipment;
* Critical automotive systems;
* High-speed machinery;
* Extreme-temperature equipment;

* Other applications where bearing failure could reasonably result in serious injury, loss of life, or significant property damage.

Customers should notify NPBS® Bearings before selecting products for such applications.

Unless expressly approved in writing for the relevant application, general-purpose NPBS® Bearings products should not be assumed suitable for safety-critical use.

23. Continuous Product Improvement

NPBS® Bearings may continuously improve product design, manufacturing processes, materials, production equipment, and quality-control methods.

Such improvements do not necessarily indicate that earlier products were defective.

For customer-specific products requiring fixed specifications, the applicable approved drawing, specification, or change-control agreement will govern.
